Exchange Mailbox Recovery software is designed and developed to repair corrupt .edb and .stm files of MS Exchange Server and recover user mailboxes with their respective emails and related items. The software restores individual mailboxes in Outlook-usable PST files.
An MS Exchange Server storage group is consisted of various mailbox and public folder stores, depending on the needs, Exchange Server version, and users in an organization. The mailbox store further comprises user and system mailboxes, while the public folder contains public data. Each of these stores are made of an EDB and a STM (STM file is not created in Exchange Server 2007) file that work together to store messages.
An Exchange database administrator maintains these mailboxes, but can also delete a mailbox by mistake. There can be situations when the database administrator might delete an incorrect mailbox, while some other mailbox is required to be deleted. Exchange Server has the ability of keeping deleted exchange mailbox(es) for a specified period of time, called 'Deleted Mailbox Retention' period. This setting is editable under 'Keep deleted mailboxes for (days) setting for a mailbox store, which is '30' by default. An administrator can recover the deleted mailbox(es) if the deletion period falls under this time period. If not, the administrator should either restore from the last available backup or use a third-party Deleted Exchange Mailbox Recovery tool.
